My whole life right now feels like it’s WEDDING WEDDING WEDDING!!! Oh, and of course Casey & Blakely too ;). But mostly wedding planning and wedding to-do’s constantly on my mind.
We are exactly one month out from our big day on June 10th! And to be honest, I am BEYOND ready for it to be here. The main reason is obvious: I’m so excited to be marrying my very best friend! But the second reason being I am just about done with all the wedding planning haha.
Casey and I got engaged February of 2022 and shortly after I got to work on wedding planning, so it has been over a year of making this ONE DAY come to life. It’s crazy to me when I think about it like that, but nonetheless it is a day we will remember forever and ever. The one day all your friends and family will be there in one place to celebrate you and your person. That’s pretty special!
In the past few months since my last check in 4 months out, planning has really picked up. If you missed my past three wedding planning updates you can check them out here:

Today’s one month away update will consist of a lot of to do’s finally checked off the to-do list that I had been putting off, as well as things I will be working on in the next month!
Second Wedding Dress Fitting
I believe most brides end up having three to four dress fittings before their wedding. During my first fitting, my dress was still falling off of me. She took all my measurements and I was excited when I went back to my second fitting expecting it to fit perfect. Well… it was WAY too tight. She couldn’t even zip it! She thinks one of the pins she put it fell out and she can easily fix. The length of the dress looked perfect and I got to see it with the bustle too!
On my 4 month blog update I mentioned my wedding day SHOES. That is on my high priority to do list for this month. I have my heart set on one pair I need to go ahead and just order!
Ordered Our Cake
I’m so excited to have this checked off our to-do’s! It was stressing me out that we didn’t have an official cake vendor. I had initially wanted to go with Publix or Sam’s Club for affordability, but we found a local bakery in Columbia that is able to stick with our budget! Below are two of my inspiration photos for our cake 🙂

Although we didn’t get to do a tasting, we knew we wanted to go with chocolate and vanilla flavors and vanilla frosting throughout. So excited to see how it turns out!
Sent Out Our Formal Wedding Invitations
I finally got out our formal invitations out! I am so happy with how they turned out. Like I mentioned in my 4 month update, I wanted our invitations to be letterpress and they exceeding all of my expectations when they came in.

We used Minted to design the formal invite and Canva to design my RSVP card. It’s been a few weeks and I have already gotten back most of our RSVP’s! We decided to do a virtual RSVP through our wedding website to save money instead of doing a mail back RSVP, but if I could do it again I would have spent the extra money on the mail back ones.
I knew the older generation like our grandparents would have trouble with it, but I’ve found a lot more people than I thought have had a hard time figuring out how to RSVP online. Definitely something to be aware of if you decide to go this route with invitations.
Premarital Counseling Session Complete
Our officiant required three premarital counseling “conversations,” as he calls them, before the wedding. This is something Casey and I wanted to do before and are so thankful we did! We went over topics like money, intimacy and romance, in-laws, friends and family, and more. It was good to openly have these conversations ahead of time and get some great advice from our officiant and family friend.
Was Thrown A Bridal Shower
My maid of honor and mom threw the most perfect and beautiful shower for me at the end of March. The theme was Something Blue Before I Do, so as you could imagine everyone dressed in all blue and the decor was on par with the theme too. They killed it! You can read all about the details like the food, bevs, and activities of the shower here!

Bachelorette Trip & Gifts For My Girls
I had my bachelorette party in 30A, Florida the last weekend of May! After months of planning and prepping with my maid of honor, it all came together and was the perfect celebration weekend. You can read about what we did on the trip in my latest blog post!
