Welcome back to another Wedding Wednesday post!

This week I want to share with you guys all the details to my “Something Blue Before I Do” bridal shower that my maid of honor and mom threw and hosted for me!
It was such a beautiful, special shower with all my closest gals. I felt so loved!!! We had the party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. so on top of the blue theme it was also a brunch/lunch theme.
My mom so graciously hosted the party at her house since it’s located in the most central location for all my friends to travel in for. Both my mom and my maid of honor let me in on the planning so I could tell them my vision for how I wanted the shower to be. I knew I wanted everyone to wear blue to honor the theme and let me just say… all my ladies passed the vibe check!! It was so fun watching everyone walk in wearing the cutest blue dresses.

We started out the shower the best way we could… popping some champagne!! After mingling, catching up and sipping on our mimosa’s we sat down for lunch. I’ll go more into details on our menu below, but it was perfect. Light, filling and everything was so delicious.

We then moved to the couch for my favorite part… the games!! My maid of honor organized a few games for us all to play as a group. One of my favorites was an “over or under” question game which my younger sister ended up winning (shoutout Kristin!). Some of the questions included:
- Bride and Groom met 3 years ago.
- Bride wants 4 kids.
- Bride has had 6 boyfriends in the past.
My mom put together a cute prize basket for the game winners which included all blue items like a blue candle, blue journal, blue body scrub, etc!! It was a nice touch and made it more motivating for everyone playing.
Casey ended up coming and surprising me with flowers towards the end! It was only right to make him join in on a fun game of “he said, she said” where we raised either my shoe or Casey’s shoe depending on the questioned asked.
You can find the full list of games we used here.

After lunch and games, we opened gifts with everyone. I received such thoughtful items and I can’t wait to use them all!! I can’t get over how memorable this bridal shower was for me and am just feeling so lucky to have such special ladies in my life.
Now that we’ve covered an overview of the shower, let’s get into the details!
THE MENU:
- Chicken Salad (from Chicken Salad Chick) and Croissants
- Italian Pasta Salad
- Ham & Cheese Sliders
- Yogurt Parfaits

THE DESSERT:
If you know me then you know I have a major SWEET tooth. I knew I wanted custom cookies for my shower, and was so happy to find Crafted Cookies in Columbia, SC to make my vision for these come true. They turned out beautiful and were SO delicious.
My bridesmaids also brought some Krispy Kreme donuts with the cutest festive ring toppers.

THE DRINKS:
The focal point of the spread was a fun blue themed mimosa bar! Naturally, my girls had to go with the blue prosecco ;).
We included a variety of fruit toppings for everyone to either drop in their beverage or garnish their glass! My mom had the cutest glass orange juice pitchers that we used, but I found similar ones you guys can check out here!
Details on the sign:
Actually about an hour before people arrived I decided I wanted to make a mimosa bar sign to put out. I quickly designed one on Canva, added some blue florals and a mimosa glass image, printed it out on our color printer and put it in a frame we already had!! It was surprisingly easy, FREE, and was such a nice touch to the drink station.

THE DECOR
I have a full list of all the decor for my shower listed out on my Amazon Storefront!
From the beautiful blue hydrangeas to the blue sparkle balloons to the blue napkins, we sprinkled blue everywhere throughout the shower to really go all out with the theme. It all turned out SO cute!

Overall it was such a memorable and beautiful shower and I am just so thankful for all my ladies who put this together to celebrate this season of my life! <3
