GIFT GUIDE FOR TODDLERS AND LITTLE ONES

Welcome to my first gift guide of the season! Grab a cozy blanket, put on some Christmas music, and snuggle up with a warm drink as you scroll through some gift inspiration for the little ones in your life.

As I mentioned in my toddler gift guide last year, I like to follow this rule of gifting that I learned from my moms group two years ago: Gift something to wear, something to read, something they want, and something they need.

Gifting for toddlers is so fun, but can be hard to narrow it down with an abundance of products out there. Whether it’s a fun hands-on activity like these nifty reuseable water balloons, or a hobby they enjoy like this easy to store soccer goal, or maybe it’s something practical like a calendar to inspire independence. I’ve got you covered for some cool, unique and practical gift ideas for toddlers and kids. Happy shopping!!!

SOMETHING TO WEAR:

For gifting clothes for Christmas I focus on the essentials: seasonal staples in tops, bottoms and new shoes. My go to stores to shop for Blakely’s clothes at are Target and Amazon for the everyday must-haves, and I’ll use Zara occasionally for more CUTE splurge items. I rounded up a list below of some key gifting items in the clothing department for toddlers!

GIRLS:

• Magnatiles: Blakely comes home from her daycare raving about this toy! An especially good gift idea for the creative hands-on 3 year olds.
• Toy Doctor Kit: love any gift that lets kids use their sense of play & imagination! And this one is jam packed with so many tools to explore play with!
• Wiggle Ride On Car: a more affordable version of the plasmacar for ages 3+! Blakely is obsessed with all things ride on as I’m sure most toddlers are.
• Piggy Bank: kind of random but lately Blakely has been obsessed with coins and loves to put them in jars?? Figured a piggy bank would be a cute way for her to store them!
• Frozen Little People Set: little people are the BEST! We were gifted this set for Blakely’s birthday and she plays with it daily. If your little one likes Frozen, this will be a hit!
• Magnet Ice Cream Puzzle: how cute is this ice cream magnet puzzle?! And a great way for them to use their fine motor skills in a fun way.
• Dot It Stickers: a few mess free ideas coming your way… stickers are ALWAYS a good gift and these dot it ones are super unique.
• No Mess Kinetic Sand: mess free sand!? Sign me up! We bought kinetic sand from Target a while back and Blakely was entertained for hours. Definitely a great hands-on kid gift!
• No Spill Bubbles: whoever invented this… thank you LOL! This would even be a good stocking stuffer!
• Train Set: this one is so cute and again, encourages that sense of independent play!
• Reusable Water Balloons: it’s always hard gifting summer things in the winter but these reusable waterballoons are a must! Another great invention!!!
• Leapfrog Learning Laptop: we have and love! Blakely especially loves having her “own computer” and it doubles as a great way for kids to learn their letters in a fun way!

SOMETHING THEY NEED:

• MEMBERSHIPS! One of the best things you can gift a little one is an ongoing experience. We were gifted a year pass at The Atlanta Children’s Museum this past year and loved having that in our back pocket to go and do together! Any kind of museums, zoos, aquariums, would be great membership gifts for toddlers/kids.
• Vitamins: we’ve used the Mary Ruth toddler vitamins since Blakely started daycare and love them so much. It’s a great incentive on school mornings because we tell Blakely she has to have 3 things done before she gets her vitamin: clothes on, shoes on, and hair/teeth brushed. Really gets things moving in the morning with my toddler who likes to take her sweet time LOL!
• Socks: you can never have too many! And seriously, I feel like we are always losing socks so this is a gift I’ll probably give yearly.
• Water Bottles: we seriously have like 10 of these now but we go through them so much between leaving them at daycare or in the car, etc. Another thing you can never have to many of! We love these 12oz Yeti ones.
• Toddler Schedule: I loveee this interactive flip chart I found to help toddler’s stay on a simple schedule in a fun way!
• Calendar: on that same note as the toddler schedule, we bought Blakely this calendar when she started school in August and although it’s still a little advanced for her to grasp, she plays with and organizes it daily!!
• Learning Tower: this is such a great gift for 2 year olds! By two Blakely had outgrown her high chair and this learning tower came in handy for all her meals. It was also great for when I cook dinner because she felt like she was right there with me.
• Personalized Step Stool: for all the little ones potty training, stools will be used daily. As cute as this mongrammed step stool is, here is one we have in Blakely’s bathroom that’s more affordable.
• Toothbrush // Toothpaste: another great stocking stuffer! I linked our favorite brands.
