HAPPY FRIDAY!
Back for another week of Five Friday Favorites! Before we dive in, I have a quick update from the week!
This past weekend was wonderful! Casey and I celebrated Mother’s Day together on Saturday and got to try out a new workout class in the morning (so fun – see favorite #3) and then go out to a delicious brunch together at Apron and Ladle! We went up to Cumming, Ga later that day to visit Casey’s family and spend the night with them.
On actual Mother’s Day we woke up slow and I had breakfast and coffee in bed (moms, you know this is a TREAT). We spent the afternoon outside enjoying the sunshine and washing/detailing our cars! Honestly the best Mother’s Day gift is a clean car… we had the whole family helping out (see pics below of Blakely washing the car… so cute)!
We have had a pretty lowkey week. Tuesday was my last MOPS (moms group) meeting and I am so sad! I’m definitely signing up to do it again in the fall, but will miss seeing all the ladies I connected with so often!
I realized something I want to “say yes” to more often at that meeting and that’s doing more adventures with just Blakely and I. Whether that’s trying out a new park, a new mommy and me class, or taking her to the zoo, I want to get more comfortable doing things with just us, rather than feeling like I need Casey or a friend with me.
We are dog sitting for the weekend for Casey’s aunt and uncle which is always fun because Blakely LOVES the pups. My cousins are coming to visit this weekend and we are taking Blakely to her first Braves game! So excited!
That’s about all for the weekly updates. On this week’s Friday Favorites you’ll find current favorites (some fun new podcast listens & wedding updates), photo dump from the week, favorite workout from the week, meal plan, and lastly, a self care favorites round up!
1) CURRENT FAVORITES
Reading: The Younger Wife by Sally Hepworth. I’ve really been on a thriller binge recently, and Hepworth is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Almost done with this one!
Listening to: Melissa Wood’s new podcast “Move With Heart.” I’m so excited for this! So far she has released 3 episodes so that is what I’ve been playing this week. The first episode explains her and her story and it’s so vulnerable and real. Topics she discusses include mindfulness, nutrition, fitness, motherhood, fashion, and more!!
Booking: AHH I am going wedding dress shopping next month! I’ve booked two places in Atlanta, and I’ll share all about them after I go!
Reviewing: The Always Pan. Okay so, I reviewed this in an earlier Friday Favorites and said I’d keep y’all posted on how I like it. I’ve had this pan for about 5 months and it has lost its nonstick quality. It’s still so aesthetic sitting on my stove, and cooks things just like any other pan, but in my opinion the quality it is not worth the price.
Using: Cerave mineral face sunscreen. I have the 50spf one and try to apply it every morning during my skincare routine. I really want to be better about wearing sunscreen this summer because I know how helpful it is for your skin! This particular one is nice because it’s affordable, feels lightweight and applies smoothly.
Pining: all things Bachelorette party!!! I won’t be having my bachelorette party until next spring, but it’s still so fun to start planning! I’m definitely thinking somewhere beachy! You can get a few hints from my board hehe.
Organizing: my bar cart! I spent time on Friday organizing our bar cart and adding some spring to it. I bought a potted succulent from Trader Joe’s, along with a few bottles of wine to add. I also recently bought two cute moscow mule cups from Homegoods for super cheap! I reorganized the cups and glasses and it’s really coming together. Let me know if y’all would want a blog post about this!
Loving: reusable grocery bags. I recently purchased reusable produce bags from Trader Joes, but these would be a great and easy alternative if you don’t have a TJ near you. I love the simple boho look of these too!
Eyeing: cute coverups for summer. I don’t own a sarong yet, but have read good reviews (almost 17,000) on this one. I unfortunately have expensive taste and would die for this one or this one.
Buying: Dolce Vida shoe dupe from Target. I bought the white ones a month ago and wore them for Easter and they’re so comfortable and cute!!

3) FAVORITE WORKOUT FROM THE WEEK
Another week of crushed workouts! If you follow me on Instagram or saw my most recent blog post, you know that Casey and I tried out RockBox Fitness for the first time on Saturday and it kicked our butts! A fun, fast-paced, challenging full body workout! We’re actually doing another class again tomorrow. The only bad part is they don’t have daycare, but luckily we’ve been able to find a sitter!

My favorite workout from this week was leg day! I follow the Madeline Moves app to guide my workouts, but I kind of improvised this one since I went later in the day and a lot of the machines were taken. It was still an amazing workout and had me sore for 2 days! Here’s what I did:
LEG DAY WORKOUT
*warm up*
Superset 1: (2 rounds)
- Single Leg Sit to Stand (from bench) (10 reps)
- Weighted Hip Thrust with Abduction (20 reps)
Superset 2: (2-3 rounds)
- Alternating Reverse Lunges with Weight (20 reps)
- Laying Hamstring Curl with Weight (12 reps)
Challenge Move: (3 rounds)
- Sumo Stance RDL (12 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps)
Single Exercise: (4 rounds)
- Squats on Smith Machine (increase weight each round if possible) (10 reps, 8 reps, 6 reps, 6 reps)
4) WEEKLY MEAL PLAN
Monday: Taco Bowl

Tuesday: Grilled Chicken, Brown Rice, & Asparagus + Grape Tomatoes

Wednesday: Dinner out at Tacos and Tequilas with Casey’s aunt & kids

Thursday: Dinner out at Boone’s with friends

5) FAVORITE SKIN AND HAIR CARE PRODUCTS
SKIN:
Loving Tan 2 Hour Express Self Tanner… my holy grail of self tanners. I use shade “dark.”
Laneige Sleep Mask… there is not a night I don’t use this product – a mask for your lips that leaves them moisturized and plump in the AM.
Bum Bum Cream… best lotion post shower that smells incredible and leaves your body feeling fresh and hydrated.
Watermelon Glow Recipe Toner… so moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling glowy.
HAIR:
Kristin Ess Shampoo + Conditioner… the smell is divine and I’ve found this combo works great on my highlighted hair.
Olaplex Hair Mask… I’ve used this three times now and am loving how hydrated it leaves my hair.
Revlon Hair Dryer… favorite tool that makes my hair look like I just got a blowout + a great price.
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo… obsessed with this dry shampoo! I’ve used for years and love. I only wash my hair twice a week so this stuff is a life saver!
T3 Curling Iron… the only curling iron I trust – curls my hair like a salon would.
